Published in 1989 is a book by and about Regine Zylberberg the torch singer who went on to (possibly) invent disco by adding a DJ with turntables to the Whisky A Gogo. She opened Chez Regines in Paris and then London, New York and Monte Carlo. The book describes how to announce the opening of LeDoyen she sent 8,000 postcards to her illustrious clientele. She was an actual legend - and this book is testament to that. In the style of the Ku Ibiza books or the gold Les Bains book, it has adverts all the way through! Text is by Agathe Godard and photographs by Harry Benson, Dominique Issermann and many others. An unfindable treasure too.
